Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 18, Changan Auto saw the 1.7 millionth vehicle from the Eado series rolling off the production line.

As a classic sedan in the history of China's automotive industry, Eado, in-house developed by Changan Auto, has undergone three-generation iterations over that past 12 years, earning the trust of 1.7 million users with its outstanding R&D capabilities and evolving product quality.

Debuting globally at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13, 2011, the first-generation Eado was designed by the Changan Automobile Design Center Europe in Turin, Italy, hitting the market officially on March 27, 2012, in Hangzhou.

The second-generation Eado was launched in January 2018, followed by the introduction of the Eado PLUS in December 2019. The 2022 Eado PLUS further elevated its product competitiveness and cost-effectiveness with smart features like intelligent voice assistant, automatic parking, and auto air conditioning, enhancing driving convenience and comfort.

In March 2024, commemorating Changan's 40th anniversary, the third-generation Eado hit the market with the quality reputation of its predecessors, boasting advantages like a spacious body, panoramic sunroof, two large smart displays, AI assistant, and more. With features like concealed door handles, 540° HD panoramic camera, and hands-free trunk release as standard across the lineup, the new Eado offers fresh design, enhanced powertrain, smart technologies, and premium quality.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
