Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Durant Guild, a premium lifestyle platform presented by General Motors (GM), announced this week it will join the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024), marking its debut at the splendid auto show.

Among the curated product lineup the Durant Guild will display at the show, the 2025 Tahoe model will make its first appearance in the Chinese market, with the presale kicking off at the same time.

The Tahoe, sharing roots with the Chevrolet Suburban Carryall, boasts nearly 3.5 million units in cumulative sales over the past 30 years since its launch, serving as a regular top-seller on the U.S.' full-sized SUV sales charts. Notably, it is named after North America’s largest mountain lake, Lake Tahoe.

The 2025 Tahoe features a modern rugged design that displays a grandeur vibe matching its name. Its spacious three-row, true seven-seater configuration and theater-style seating arrangement offer expansive comfort for passengers. GM's TurboMaxTM engine, developed specifically for global mid-to-large multi-purpose vehicles, ensures reliable performance across various scenarios. Additionally, it includes GM's latest enhanced Super Cruise™ advanced driver assistance system and the VCS smart cockpit, providing a multi-dimensional comfort and convenience experience.

In addition to the 2025 Tahoe, the Durant Guild will showcase three other models at the Auto China 2024, highlighting GM' prowess in performance oil-fueled vehicles and electric vehicles.

To be specific, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, revered as an American national treasure of a sports car, represents the eighth generation of this legendary model, blending speed with style. The GMC Hummer EV SUV, built on GM's Ultium platform, is able to zip from 0-96km/k in in just about 3 seconds with the Watts To Freedom launch mode. Another featured Ultium platform-based model is the Cadillac CELESTIQ, an all-electric ultra-luxury flagship sedan.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
