Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Galaxy, one of the new energy vehicle ranges under Geely Auto, previously announced that its first battery electric SUV model would be named "Galaxy E5". This new vehicle has recently appeared in the 382nd batch of "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), along with the unveiling of its patent images.

The Galaxy E5 adopts the iconic design language of the Geely Galaxy series, featuring sleek LED headlights and a closed-off front end. The new vehicle's side profile includes trendy hidden door handles, while the rear end is equipped with a LED light strip stretching across the vehicle's liftgate.

According to the information declared to the MIIT, the Galaxy E5 measures 4,615mm long, 1,901mm wide, and 1,670mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,750mm, positioning it as a compact battery electric SUV. 

The new vehicle offers optional configurations including front and rear parking sensors, black exterior rearview mirrors, headlights, black emblems, various styles of front windshield glass, black side moulding for the window, black luggage rack, wheel rims, and so on.

In terms of power, the Geely Galaxy E5 has only declared a single-motor version with a maximum power output of 160 kw. It utilizes a lithium iron phosphate battery pack.

The new vehicle, internally codenamed E245, is manufactured at the Guiyang base of Geely Auto. This model features an intelligent cockpit based on the Antora 1000 digital cockpit computing platform, which features the SE1000 SoC (System-on-Chip) and incorporates the Flyme Auto in-car infotainment OS.
