Jiuchen's annual production of 100,000 tons of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) project broke ground. The construction project of Jiuchen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Xinjiang with a total investment of 4 billion RMB broke ground for the construction of a 100,000 ton lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode material project, located in Huocheng County, Ili, Xinjiang. The first phase of the project will start construction in April 2024, with plans to complete and put into operation 2 lithium manganese iron phosphate production lines by the end of the year; the second phase plans to complete and put into operation 2 lithium manganese iron phosphate production lines and 2 precursor production lines in 2025. Compared to lithium iron phosphate, the energy density of lithium manganese iron phosphate is increased by about 25%, with a cost increase of only about 5%, mainly used in the field of new energy vehicle batteries and energy storage batteries.
