Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 15, 2024, LIVAN Automobile ("LIVAN"), the automaker backed by Geely Auto and Lifan Technology, inked an agreement with Chinese speech technology giant iFLYTEK at the latter's headquarters in Hefei, Anhui Province, for their in-depth strategic cooperation in multiple areas such as intelligent cockpits, intelligent audio, digital marketing.

Inheriting Geely's 27 years of rich experience in car manufacturing and strong R&D capabilities, LIVAN has independently developed the GBRC multilevel architecture ecosystem around "vehicle, station, and cloud" , which covers the vehicle technology architecture, battery-swapping platform, and big data cloud platform.

As a top-tier artificial intelligence enterprise and a leading supplier of intelligent data technologies in China, iFLYTEK has successfully launched a series of cutting-edge intelligent technologies to the field of new energy vehicles (NEVs). The collaboration with LIVAN will bring a brand-new digital AI innovation upgrade to LIVAN's cost-effective vehicle models priced around 150,000 yuan.

"Through profound cooperation with iFLYTEK in the field of automotive intelligence, the two parties will further power the high-quality development of LIVAN’s vehicles, accelerate the technological accumulation and application of intelligent cockpits and AI large models, and ultimately achieve the intelligent and digital transformation and upgrade of LIVAN Automobile," said Zhou Zongcheng, Chairman of Lifan Technology and CEO of LIVAN.

The LIVAN 7 SUV, one of LIVAN's strategic models, has officially applied the FEIYU vehicle audio-management system, ushering in an immersive sound experience supported by AI technologies.

Upon entering the smart cockpit of LIVAN 7, drivers not only can instantly experience an 5D private cinema vibe through a 50-inch AR-HUD and the Spark (iFLYTEK's AI large model)-exclusive sound tuning, but also can tailor the ESE (Electronic Sound Experience) sound mode based on their personal preferences, further improving the interactive and entertainment value for driving.

Such key models under LIVAN as the LIVAN 7 and the LIVAN 9 will be fully equipped with the iFLYTEK Spark large model. [Two Mandatory EV National Standards Take Effect Tomorrow: Batteries Must Not Catch Fire or Explode]
On July 1, two mandatory national standards—"Safety Requirements for Traction Batteries of Electric Vehicles" (GB 38031-2025) and "Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles" (GB 18384-2025)—will officially come into force. This marks the first time in China's new energy vehicle sector that both battery‑specific and vehicle‑level core safety standards take effect on the same day. The new battery standard establishes "no fire, no explosion" as a mandatory requirement, replacing the previous technical threshold of "providing an alarm signal 5 minutes before fire or explosion." The updated standard also adds tests including bottom impact testing and safety testing after fast‑charging cycles. The vehicle standard requires the installation of an independent physical one‑button emergency power‑off device. The two standards will be implemented in phases: all newly applied vehicle models submitted after July 1 must fully comply with the new rules, while models already approved and on sale are granted a one‑year transition period until full compliance is required by July 2027. Industry players across the supply chain have already entered the final stages of certification review and production‑line retrofitting.
