[Canalys: Global smartphone shipments in the first quarter increased by 11% year-on-year]
Canalys' latest report shows that global smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 11% year-on-year, driven by the global macroeconomic recovery and rising consumer demand. With the active promotion of Galaxy AI, Samsung returned to the top with a market share of 20%. Apple ranked second with a market share of 16%, facing challenges in its strategic focus markets. Due to the competitive advantage of Xiaomi's new popular model Redmi A3, it ranked third with a market share of 14%. Transsion ranked fourth with a market share of 10%, and OPPO ranked in the top five with a market share of 8%. (Canalys)
