Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC Group’s premium new energy vehicle brand ARCFOX on April 11 launched its DARWIN 2.0 technology brand. The DARWIN 2.0 technology brand is built upon the ARCFOX IMC Architecture and encompasses seven major technologies.
In terms of performance, ARCFOX introduced the Jiguang battery, Jifeng powertrain, and Lingyun chassis (names are all in Chinese pinyin). ARCFOX stated that the Jiguang battery boasts exceptional safety standards. This is attributed to ARCFOX's comprehensive safety protection provided in extreme scenarios such as battery crushing, heavy rain and flooding, and high temperature.
The bottom of the Jiguang battery is equipped with the innovative "Xuanwu Armor," which is made of aerospace-grade materials and processes. This armor consists of seven layers of protection, with a strength of up to 1,500MPa. It also incorporates insulation, heat preservation, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance, fully considering environmental complexity.
In the field of intelligence, ARCFOX said its second-generation intelligent cockpit is equipped with the new Lingzhi OS. In terms of hardware configuration, ARCFOX adopts 34 high-performance perception hardware, enabling all-weather, all-around environmental perception to ensure the safety and reliability of the intelligent driving system. In terms of software algorithms, ARCFOX has improved obstacle recognition rates through the BEV+Transformer+OCC solution and introduced interactive game algorithms to optimize driving path planning.
During the launch event, BAIC Group unveiled a new platform included in the DARWIN 2.0 system, the Beijixing Platform (name translates to “Polar Star”). As a self-developed pure electric high-end flagship platform by BAIC Group, the Beijixing Platform deeply integrates the engineering design and module development of the Mercedes-Benz MRA luxury rear-wheel-drive platform, as well as the new framework of the DARWIN 2.0 technology system. In the future, it will mainly support the development of mid-to-high-end vehicles in the C-segment and above.
