[14 Departments: Strive to Accelerate the Elimination of National III and Below Emission Standard Passenger Cars by 2025]

The Ministry of Commerce and 14 other departments issued the "Action Plan to Promote the Replacement of Consumer Goods with New Ones", which was released to the public on April 12th. By increasing policy guidance and support, efforts will be made to accelerate the elimination of national III and below emission standard passenger cars by 2025, and to further increase the market share of energy-efficient household appliances. The amount of scrapped cars to be recycled is expected to grow by 50% compared to 2023, and the amount of waste home appliances to be recycled is expected to increase by 15%. By 2027, the amount of scrapped cars to be recycled is expected to double from 2023, and the volume of second-hand car transactions is expected to increase by 45% compared to 2023, while the amount of waste home appliances to be recycled is expected to grow by 30% from 2023.
