Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 10th, GAC MOTOR, the international business unit of GAC Group, and Huajian Group officially signed a distribution cooperation agreement and a KD (knocked down) assembly memorandum of understanding in Guangzhou.

Under this agreement, GAC MOTOR has granted Huajian Group the dealership rights in Ethiopia, through which the latter will introduce GAC's car sales, electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage, and automotive parts sales businesses into Huajian International Light Industry City. Moving forward, both parties will continue to expand their cooperation areas, engaging in practical cooperation on KD projects and more.

Zhang Huarong, Chairman of Huajian Group, stated, "This partnership is of milestone significance. It's crucial for Huajian's entry into the automotive industry, GAC's expansion into the African and Ethiopian markets, and for Ethiopia's development of a new energy vehicle industry. Our shared vision is 'Illuminate Ethiopia, Power Ethiopia, Smart Ethiopia, Tech Ethiopia, Made in Ethiopia, Global Market.' We look forward to achieving more efficient production and broader markets through our cooperation with GAC, providing better products and services to consumers, and promoting the sustainable development of GAC's new energy vehicles."

Feng Xingya, General Manager of GAC Group, commented, "GAC has firmly chosen to undertake comprehensive cooperation with Huajian Group, leveraging our respective strengths to bring sophisticated craftsmanship and technologically innovative products to the people of Ethiopia. Next, we will continue to implement our customer-first philosophy and further explore cooperation on KD projects, integrate more deeply into the Ethiopian market, understand local consumer needs, and provide safer and more convenient products and services. Upon project completion, it is expected to generate an annual output value of over 10 billion Birr (approximately 1.278 billion yuan), driving employment for over a thousand people upstream and downstream, and actively aiding Ethiopia's acceleration towards industrialization."

Huajian Group is a model for the international development of Chinese companies, rooted in Ethiopia and deeply engaged in Africa for over a decade, creating significant cooperative projects such as Huajian (Ethiopia) International Light Industry City, and accumulating extensive business experience in Ethiopia and across Africa.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
