Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Auto's Panda series (Geely’s micro electric vehicle family) recently released detailed information about the A00-segment micro electric vehicle (EV), the "Panda Kart".

The Panda series has already launched Panda Mini, which is designed for commuting, and Panda Knight, a pure electric off-road micro EV priced in the 50,000-yuan level, ideal for short trips with integrated fast and slow charging features. The newly unveiled Panda Kart will further expand the application scenarios of urban travel.

In terms of appearance, the Panda Kart boasts a distinctive design, which is inpired by go-karts. With a compact body, it provides a fun experience that is easy-to-drive and easy-to-park.

Regarding the interior, the Panda Kart comes with youthful interior color schemes such as pink and white. It incorporates ergonomically designed, high-rebound, dirt-resistant, and durable wash-free leather-wrapped seats. The gear shifting is achieved through a knob-style mechanism. The screen setup includes a 9.2-inch instrument panel and an 8-inch floating central control screen. The former can display over 50 driving-related information items and supports multi-color backlighting, and the latter supports functions like wireless projection, smart connection, voice control, navigation, and music playback.

The Panda Kart measures 3,150 long, 1,540mm wide, and 1,685mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,015mm. With the rear seats folded down, it offers a loading space of 800L, catering to users' daily and travel needs.

With a real-wheel-drive arrangement, the car features a 4-meter turning radius and 175mm of ground clearance, boasting outstanding agility for urban driving. It is equipped with an electric motor that delivers up to 30 kW of power output and 110 N·m of peak torque. Additionally, it offers two driving modes, the Normal and the Sport, along with three-level adjustable energy recovery functionality, fulfilling needs for various driving conditions.

The Panda Kart is capable of 22kW DC fast charging and 3.3kW AC slow charging, which can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in 30 minutes.

This new micro EV adopts a unibody structure combined with side impact-resistant steel beams and laser-welded roof. Its BMS (battery management system) can monitor battery status in real time.

Additionally, the new vehicle is equipped with electronic safety systems such as hill-start assist, reverse camera with trajectory lines and parking sensors, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), as well as driver-side airbags, child safety seat interfaces, tire pressure monitoring and other facilities.

As for intelligent driving features, the Panda Kart supports remote control via an exclusive mobile app, enabling users to remotely check the vehicle's status, locate the vehicle, and remotely lock/unlock doors and turn on/off the air conditioning. Furthermore, it comes with a smartphone Bluetooth key function, allowing users to unlock the vehicle by approaching it, activating power as they get in. World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
