CATL released the Tianheng Energy Storage System, the world's first energy storage system with zero degradation over five years. This system can be mass produced on a large scale, marking a significant advancement in new energy storage applications. The energy storage industry is rapidly expanding, with increased demand for longer battery life, higher energy density, and lower operating costs. CATL's innovative product aims to address these challenges and position the company as a leader in the energy storage market. By 2023, CATL's total energy storage battery shipments are projected to exceed 70GWh, solidifying its position as a global industry leader.

On April 9th, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) released the world's first energy storage system, the Tianheng Energy Storage System, which has zero degradation over five years and can be mass produced on a large scale. This system is a game changer for the scaling and high quality development of new energy storage applications. As the energy storage industry rapidly expands, the market competition intensifies, with higher demand for battery life, energy density, and operating costs of energy storage products.

During the release event, CATL's energy storage department head introduced their innovative product, the "Tianheng Energy Storage System", which combines "5-year zero degradation, 6.25 MWh, and multi-dimensional true safety". In terms of energy density, the Tianheng Energy Storage System incorporates the L series long-life zero degradation battery cells specifically designed for energy storage, achieving an ultra-high energy density of 430Wh/kg with lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Currently, the energy storage market has become a strategic focus for CATL's future revenue growth. According to SMM data, by 2023, CATL's total energy storage battery shipments will exceed 70GWh, maintaining its position as the global leader in the industry.
