BYD introduces Seagull model in Chile

Recently, BYD launched the BYD Seagull in Santiago, Chile, marking the eighth model BYD has introduced to the local market, according to BYD's press release.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, BYD launched the BYD Seagull in Santiago, Chile, marking the eighth model BYD has introduced to the local market, according to BYD's press release.

The BYD Seagull is available in Chile in two versions, offering ranges of 300 kilometers and 380 kilometers (under NEDC conditions), respectively. Notably, the 380km-range version can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in just 30 minutes under direct current condition. In terms of color options, the model is offered in Chile in three colors: Polar Night Black, Warm Sun White, and Sprout Green, with design inspiration drawn from ocean aesthetics.

The BYD Seagull features an advanced intelligent cockpit system, equipped with a 10.1-inch adaptive rotatable floating Pad, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Besides, the "Hi BYD" voice assistant system, wireless charging for smartphones, and both Type A and Type C USB ports, provide more options for an enjoyable driving experience.

Cristián Garcés, Brand Manager at BYD's Chilean distributor, ASTARA Group, stated: "The launch of the BYD Seagull is an important milestone for BYD in the Chilean market. The model embodies numerous design and technological advancements in an electric vehicle suited for urban commuting. As a new energy vehicle brand, we are committed to enhancing people's quality of life with the numerous benefits of electric vehicles. Moreover, the introduction of the Seagull is a significant step in deepening the electric vehicle market expansion in Chile, with the model also being released in Mexico and Brazil earlier this year."

BYD said it will continue to enrich its product lineup in the Chilean market and enhance its sales network construction in Latin America in the future.
