NIO demonstrates car manufacturing using humanoid robot

At the 2024 China Humanoid Robot Ecological Conference in Shanghai, Yi Peng, NIO’s head of smart manufacturing engineering for humanoid robots, showcased the potential of humanoid robots in automotive manufacturing, revealing plans for multitasking operations and quality inspections. NIO has undertaken two main experiments in using humanoid robot in car manufacturing, including deploying humanoid robotic arms in confined spaces for multitasking operations using 5G and visual algorithms, and integrating humanoid robots into specific quality inspection processes.
