Dongfeng Motor Group’s new energy passenger vehicle sales jump 20.43% YoY in March

In March 2024, Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) reported a 0.66% year-on-year dip in monthly sales, which came in at 191,070 units.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In March 2024, Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) reported a 0.66% year-on-year dip in monthly sales, which came in at 191,070 units.

Among the vehicles sold in the past month, 144,216 units were passenger vehicles, representing a 2% decline from the previous year. However, of the passenger vehicles sold in March, 21,856 units were new energy vehicles, which jumped 20.43% year over year.

In the first three months of this year, Dongfeng Motor Group’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 522,090 vehicles, indicating a 14.8% growth year-on-year.

In terms of passenger vehicle companies wholly-owned by Dongfeng Motor Group, Dongfeng Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (including Aeolus, eπ, and NAMMI brands) sold 14,945 vehicles in the past month, indicating a 49.2% surge from a year ago. 

Meanwhile, the premium new energy vehicle brand VOYAH achieved a 102.25% year-on-year soar in March sales, which stood at 6,122 units. 

In addition, Dongfeng Motor Group’s rugged off-roader brand MHERO sold 200 vehicles in the last month. The brand currently has only one model on the market, the MHERO 917 new energy off-road SUV.
