Beijing (Gasgoo)- WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, unveiled its second smart sanitation product, the unmanned Robosweeper S1, achieving a signing frenzy with nearly ten million dollars in orders received on its launch day.

This marks the world's first L4 unmanned sanitation equipment capable of covering all scenarios on open roads, said WeRide. As WeRide's entry into multi-scenario sanitation applications, the Robosweeper S1 is equipped with WeRide's mature autonomous driving software and hardware systems, boasting 360-degree perception capabilities and industry-leading planning and control capabilities. While maintaining edge-to-edge operations, it can flexibly navigate various static and dynamic obstacles, effectively clean various visible garbage and solid particles of dust, automatically dump garbage, and park, complementing traditional sanitation methods to achieve comprehensive sanitation operations.

Tailored to different scenario demands, the Robosweeper S1 offers three configurations, namely Air, Pro, and Max. With a length of only 2,570mm (excluding brushes), a minimum turning radius of 2,700mm (outer dimension), a water tank volume of 400L, a garbage bin volume of 240L, and an effective operating area of over 120,000 square meters on a single charge, it can be easily deployed in scenarios such as non-motorized lanes, sidewalks, parks, and more.

Together with WeRide's Robosweeper S6, it forms a comprehensive unmanned sanitation solution covering traffic main roads and auxiliary road networks.

During the launch event, WeRide signed strategic cooperation agreements with several partners including the National Changxing Economic Development Zone, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Robotics Industry Alliance, Zhengzhou Ourland Environmental Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Kyin Development Co., Ltd., and Dongguan Binhaiwan Holding Group Co., Ltd., realizing a total order value of nearly ten million dollars on the first day of release.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
