SMM estimates that 1.8694 million mt of pig iron output will be lost from blast furnace maintenance during March 30-April 5, down 82,700 mt on a weekly basis. SMM estimates that 1.7563 million mt of pig iron output will be lost from blast furnace maintenance during April 6-12, down 113,100 mt on a weekly basis. Pig iron production still recovered. Considering that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently convened a meeting for leading steel companies to discuss the current problems faced by the steel industry, and there has been news about production cuts and efficiency increases, if the news is true, it may suppress the demand for iron ore, which is not conducive to rising ore prices, and it is expected that imported ore profits may fall.
