Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 2, Chery’s JETOUR brand announced the official pre-sale launch of the Shanhai T2 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), offering three different variants with pre-sale prices ranging from 184,900 yuan to 216,900 yuan.

The lineup includes two models with a battery-electric range of 129 kilometers and one model with a range of 208 kilometers. 

Shanhai is a new energy vehicle range under JETOUR. The Shanhai T2 is viewed as the PHEV version of the JETOUR Traveler SUV and is expected to officially hit the market around the time of the Auto China 2024 in Beijing this month.

In terms of dimensions, the Shanhai T2 measures 4,785 millimeters in length, 2,006 millimeters in width, and 1,875 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 millimeters.


Design-wise, the Shanhai T2 retains the rugged boxy appearance of the Traveler equipped with rear privacy glass, panoramic sunroof, and externally mounted spare tire. It also has towing capabilities, with a maximum trailer weight of 750 kilograms without brakes and 1,600 kilograms with brakes. The car adopts a hidden A, B, C, D pillar design, creating a floating roof effect.

On the interior, the new model features a fresh design with a 15.6-inch floating center screen and an embedded LCD instrument panel for a cleaner layout. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, ensuring smooth operation and rich functionality. The vehicle also supports FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) intelligent upgrades and features L2 intelligent driving assistance, 540-degree panoramic camera, and DMS (Driver Monitoring System).


For power, the Shanhai T2 utilizes the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI efficient hybrid engine, with a maximum power of 115 kW and maximum torque of 220 N·m. It also employs a dual-electric motor setup with a comprehensive power output of 280 kW and maximum torque of 610 N·m. The transmission system utilizes a three-speed DHT gearbox, and it is equipped with a 43.24 kWh battery pack from CATL, offering a battery-powered range of up to 208 kilometers and a comprehensive range of over 1,300 kilometers. Additionally, the vehicle features a 6.6 kW external power output function.
