Beijing (Gasgoo)- Xiaomi EV's first production model, the SU7 battery-electric sedan, officially hit the market on the evening of March 28. The SU7 comes with three trim levels with prices starting from 215,900 yuan for the standard single-motor version, 245,900 yuan for the single-motor Pro version, and 299,900 yuan for the dual-motor Max version.

Customers who pre-order any of these models before April 30 will receive various free accessories or benefits, including intelligent driving system packages.

The SU7 features dimensions of 4,997mm in length, 1,963mm in width, 1,440mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,000mm.

Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun stated that the SU7 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds. The standard version offers a range of 700 km under CLTC conditions, while the SU7 Max achieves a range of up to 810 km. Xiaomi plans to establish its own supercharging stations, starting with cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, using a 600-kW liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging solution.

In terms of intelligent driving, Xiaomi launched two solutions, namely the Xiaomi Pilot Pro and the Xiaomi Pilot Max. The SU7 comes standard with features such as highway pilot navigation assistance, one-touch valet parking, and intelligent parking assistance. The highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) function is available upon market launch, with urban NOA functions expected to be available in selected Chinese cities later this year. The SU7 utilizes advanced hardware, including the NVIDIA Orin chip and LiDAR, for superior sensor fusion perception.

Equipped with Xiaomi’s self-developed HyperOS operating system, the SU7's infotainment system enables seamless integration across five screens. The intelligent cabin features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, and supports interaction with over 5,000 Xiaomi tablet applications and more than 1,000 Xiaomi smart home devices for a fully connected experience.

Additionally, the SU7's interior design leverages Xiaomi's ecosystem, offering features like threaded interfaces for Xiaomi phone holders and sports cameras, multiple storage slots for flashlights and umbrellas, and integration with Xiaomi ecosystem products.

The SU7 features front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension with CDC shock absorbers and air springs. Its braking system includes Brembo four-piston calipers, Bosch DPB and Bosch ESP 10.0, achieving a minimum braking distance of 33.3 meters from 100-0 km/h.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
