Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 26, Geely's new energy vehicle range Galaxy announced its first all-electric SUV model has been named the Galaxy E5. Alongside this unveiling, the company also shared a series of camouflaged vehicle images.

The Galaxy E5 marks Geely Galaxy's first global-oriented model, with development and testing carried out for both left-hand and right-hand drive versions, and will be available to customers worldwide in the future.

The new model is set for official launch at the Auto China 2024 in Beijing next month, and is expected to hit the market later this year.

The recently released spy photos showcase a distinctive touch, featuring the word "Hello" in various languages on the disguised vehicle covers, serving as a symbolic gesture of welcome. In terms of design, the Galaxy E5 inherits the sleek "Ripple of Light · Dynamic" grille from the E8 model, complemented by sharp-edged headlights and a stylish L-shaped air intake decoration strip, creating a visually captivating impression. Furthermore, the extensive use of a closed-off grille design contributes to reduced wind resistance and enhanced energy efficiency.

Moving to the vehicle's profile, concealed door handles and aerodynamically efficient wheels adorn the Galaxy E5, while the rear adopts a classic SUV aesthetic, complete with contemporary through-type taillights and a sizable rear spoiler to evoke a sense of sporty sophistication.

Some reports have hinted at Geely Galaxy's plans to introduce another model, the Galaxy L5 PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) model, slated for release in the second quarter of this year.

Currently, Geely Galaxy has released three models, including the Galaxy L7 PHEV, the Galaxy L6 PHEV, and the Galaxy E8 full-electric sedan, forming a product layout of BEVs plus PHEVs, and sedan plus SUV in the mainstream new energy vehicle market.
