Yadea Launches World's First Sodium-ion Battery Swap Mode in Shenzhen Pilot Program

As the main organizer of the event, Yadea took a "leading" stance, spearheading the global race once again: with research and technology in sodium-ion batteries far ahead of the rest of the world; pioneering the global introduction of a universally-applied "swap instead of charge" model for sodium-ion batteries, leading the industry; and achieving leading-level customer recognition. On March 20th, the "Shenzhen Electric Delivery Bikes Sodium-ion Battery Swap Pilot Program Launch Event," co-hosted by Yadea and Meituan and strongly supported by Shenzhen Municipality, was grandly held in Longhua District, Shenzhen. The successful execution of this event witnessed the profound transformation of the ecosystem for short-to-medium-distance commutes in the future, marking a significant step forward in the innovative transition to the "sodium battery swap mode" for electric two-wheelers. On 22 June 2026, China Wuhuan Engineering, Tianjin Cement Industry Design & Research Institute, and Hubei Yihua Chuxing Ecology signed a contract for a 1 Mt/a phosphogypsum-to-sulfuric acid project. The facility will produce 400,000 t/a of industrial sulfuric acid and cementitious admixtures using third-generation low-carbon calcination technology.
