Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, Great Wall Motor (GWM) launched its TANK brand in Mexico, and officially put the signature TANK 300 HEV model onto the local market.

In September 2023, Great Wall Motor officially forayed into the Mexican market with the “GWM” new energy vehicle brand. Following the introduction of the Haval and ORA brands, TANK becomes the third sub-brand GWM introduced to the Mexican market.

TANK has already made successful debuts in various overseas markets, including Australia, Central Asia, ASEAN, the Middle East, and South Africa, accumulating a global sales volume of nearly 400,000 units, emerging as a new choice for off-road vehicle enthusiasts.

In line with the global user-centric philosophy of the TANK brand and to create a better off-road experience for enthusiasts, the "Let’s TANK" user alliance was officially formed in Mexico. Leveraging the global user ecosystem of TANK, the alliance fosters deep interactions with users across product, channels, and services, listening to their feedback and engaging with them. Moreover, TANK will collaborate with renowned outdoor brands, blending the off-road SUV genes of TANK with outdoor sports, breaking barriers, and exploring the fusion of diverse cultures, leading a new trend in Mexican sports and off-road culture.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
