Beijing (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor (GWM) on March 15 announced that the HUAWEI HiCar 4.0 advanced connectivity system will be integrated into a range of GWM vehicle models first.

Up to now, several GWM models have gone through the adaptation process for the HUAWEI HiCar 4.0. With the system, GWM vehicles now offer enhanced compatibility and a richer in-car ecosystem.

Earlier in August 2023, GWM had announced its collaboration with HUAWEI HiCar 4.0, aiming to achieve deep integration between smartphones and in-car software and hardware, thereby creating a comprehensive smart service experience for users across various scenarios in life.

On August 5, 2023, HUAWEI officially unveiled the HiCar 4.0, which is built upon the HarmonyOS 4.0. The key highlight of this system is the seamless integration between smartphones and vehicles, characterized by IoT connectivity and human-machine interaction.

GWM’s HiCar 4.0 offers a range of features, including seamless connectivity, one-time pairing, automatic connection upon proximity, smartphone integration, application fusion, parallel vision, scenario card fusion, and shake-to-navigate capabilities.

Among these features, seamless connectivity and one-time pairing enable smartphones to connect effortlessly with the vehicle's central console via Bluetooth. Users simply enter a connection code for initial verification, while USB connection is also supported. The parallel vision feature provides a unique parallel viewing experience, ensuring seamless compatibility with smartphone applications even on horizontal in-car screens.
