Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 7, GAC AION announced a significant price adjustment for its AION V Plus model, with a maximum reduction of 23,000 yuan, resulting in a price of 209,900 yuan for the 80 MAX. Additionally, the 80 Tech and 70 Tech variants provided a complimentary remote parking feature valued at 12,400 yuan.
In recent times, a fierce price war has erupted among China's automobile companies. Leading the charge, BYD, along with Wuling, SAIC Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen, Chery, XPENG, Geely, and many other manufacturers, have launched significant price reduction campaigns in an effort to stabilize their market performance. GAC AION is no exception to this trend.
For instance, on March 3, GAC AION put the AION Y Plus 310 Xingyao Edition onto the market with an official price of 99,800 yuan. According to the carmaker, the new product is the entry-level version of the series, further lowering the threshold compared to the previous starting price of 119,800 yuan. The new vehicle features a 100 kW electric motor and a 37.9 kWh battery pack that enables a CLTC range of 310 km.
On March 5, GAC AION announced an official price reduction of 23,000 yuan for its AION S MAX Xinghan Edition. Previously priced in the range of 149,900 yuan to 179,900 yuan, the Xinghan Edition, which represents the top-spec trim of the series, now carries a price tage of 156,900 yuan after the adjustment. With this price drop, the Xinghan Edition is priced only 7,000 yuan more than the entry-level Xingyao Edition.
