Beijing (Gasgoo)- Geely's premium new energy vehicle brand, ZEEKR, unveiled the newly revamped ZEEKR 001 model on February 27. With four new variants offered, the model features official prices ranging from 269,000 yuan to 329,000 yuan.
While the starting prices remain unchanged compared to the previous model, the mid-spec and high-end variants both see a price drop of 20,000 yuan.
During the launch event, ZEEKR CEO, An Conghui, emphasized the extensive upgrades incorporated into the new model. Unlike the typical 30% component update in electric vehicles during a facelift, the ZEEKR 001 has undergone upgrades in over 50% of its components, totaling 1,118 enhancements.
The upgraded ZEEKR 001 boasts iterative improvements in various aspects, including its body, battery, electric motor, and electric drive system, as well as intelligent cockpit.
Sporting a more athletic design, reminiscent of the ZEEKR 001FR, the all-new ZEEKR 001 features similar front and rear bumper styling and a wider grille. Additionally, a new Hunter Green color option has been introduced to cater to diverse consumer preferences.
In terms of dimensions, the new ZEEKR 001 remains largely unchanged, with dimensions of 4,977mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,545mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,005mm, slightly lower than its predecessor.
Significant upgrades are observed in the powertrain department. All variants now come standard with an 800V high-voltage system, paired with CATL's Shenxing battery and Qilin battery, resulting in improved efficiency and range. Equipped with the second-generation PTM2.0 thermal management system, the vehicle gains 256 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes of charging.
In terms of performance, the single-motor variant has been upgraded from 200kW to 310kW, while the dual-motor variant has seen an increase from 400kW to 580kW. The rear-wheel-drive model achieves 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds, while the all-wheel-drive model accomplishes it in just 3.3 seconds.
For handling, the new ZEEKR 001 is equipped with the latest intelligent chassis system, featuring a dual-chamber air suspension (optional for the base model).
Moreover, the new model receives upgrades in interior design and features, including an AR-HUD system, a 15.05-inch 2.5K flexible OLED central control screen, and Yamaha speakers as standard across the range.
In terms of intelligent hardware, the cockpit chip has been upgraded from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 to the 8295, and all variants now come standard with LiDAR. The algorithms have also been upgraded to support LiDAR + visual fusion perception of non-standard objects.
With these hardware and software upgrades, An Conghui announced during the conference that the new ZEEKR 001’s Highway NZP (Navigation ZEEKR Pilot) function would be available immediately upon delivery. By the end of March, it aims to cover over 60 cities nationwide. Additionally, in the second quarter of this year, the ZEEKR Highway NZP function coverage will expand to reach over 90% of prefecture-level cities nationwide, with simultaneous updates for all ZEEKR 001 owners.
The enhanced Lane Centering Control (LCC+) system will also be rolled out to all ZEEKR 001 owners in the second quarter of this year. Starting in the second quarter, the urban NZP feature will also begin the first batch of user trials in core cities nationwide.
