Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 26, Dongfeng AEOLUS held the launch event for its 2024 Yixuan model at the Beijing FASC Circuit, coinciding with the opening ceremony of the AEOLUS Racing Academy.

The 2024 Yixuan comes with two variants, the 1.5L edition priced at 77,900 yuan and the 1.5T edition priced at 87,900 yuan.

Choosing the circuit for the launch signifies Dongfeng AEOLUS's strategic partnership with the Lisheng Racing School, inaugurating the AEOLUS Racing Academy. Moreover, Lisheng Sports, the company behind the racing school, has renewed over fifty training vehicles across its three campuses to the Dongfeng AEOLUS Yixuan.

The AEOLUS Racing Academy will offer professional racing courses as well as host racing events, including the AEOLUS Unified Brand Race, vehicle speed comparisons between production cars and standard race cars, and owner track days.

The 2024 Yixuan targets young consumers in the compact sedan segment. The newly refreshed model features sporty exterior enhancements, such as a smoked black grille and a two-tone orange front lip, accentuating its athletic character. The side profile remains similar to the previous model, with smoked black alloy wheels and orange-painted brake calipers, sized at 16 inches.

Internally, the new generation WindLink X2.0 intelligent infotainment system boasts a large-capacity SC60 module chip, offering a diverse application ecosystem, and features like remote control, Bluetooth car key, and more.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
