Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 23, Tesla China unveiled a recruitment drive, which opened up various positions, including senior data algorithm experts, senior data algorithm engineers, and senior data algorithm engineers.

According to the recruitment information, the Tesla AI & Industrial Internet Team, leveraging its own R&D achievements, leads the technological advancement of company operations and gigafactory AI deployment. This team, utilizing intelligent means, supports daily operations at a scale of billions, representing the highly intelligent technological core of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory. With over 90% of its self-developed application systems innovated independently, it serves as the powerhouse of Tesla's Dreadnought.

This recruitment drive indicates Tesla's application of AI technologies across various aspects of automotive industrial chain. Notably, the data algorithm-related job postings focus on factory production, supply chain, sales services, and charging networks, rather than Tesla's more widely known FSD autonomous driving system.

Previously, Tesla has been regarded more as a technology company than a conventional automaker, showcasing its technological prowess beyond automotive products with innovations like the FSD autonomous driving system, Optimus humanoid robot, and Dojo supercomputer. Earlier this year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to comparisons between Tesla and BYD on social media, stating, "Tesla is an AI/robotics company that appears to many to be a car company."

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
