Beijing (Gasgoo)- Global mobility technology company ECARX recently announced the establishment of a new operations center in Stuttgart, Germany.

This strategic move represents a significant milestone in ECARX's development, marking the company’s third regional operations center in Europe after Sweden and the UK. It underscores the company's firm commitment to global growth, providing advanced intelligent cockpit and smart driving technologies, including information entertainment, mobile connectivity, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), to global vehicle brands.

With the Stuttgart operations center officially put into use in early February, ECARX now possesses a crucial hub serving the core of the European automotive industry and its clients. Leveraging this infrastructure, the company will continue to focus on sales and R&D activities in the region. This decision further solidifies ECARX's mission to support customer excellence and establish closer ties with leading vehicle brands worldwide through comprehensive support and highly customizable solutions.

The team at the German operations center will collaborate closely with ECARX's global teams located in Shanghai, London, San Diego, as well as the joint venture company HaleyTek established in Stockholm, Sweden, in partnership with Volvo Cars. Together, they will develop ECARX's core product portfolio, including intelligent cockpit computing platforms, smart driving computing platforms, software stacks, and central computing platforms. Their focus remains on integrating intelligent cockpit and smart driving technologies into safe, comprehensive, and robust integrated solutions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
