Growing stocks to dampen chance for silicon wafer price gain

Mainstream transaction prices of monocrystalline silicon wafer 182mm and 210mm were 2-2.05 yuan/piece and 2.8-3 yuan/piece this week. Silicon wafer prices barely changed before and after the CNY holidays. Some silicon wafer factories insisted on offering N-type wafers at 2.1 yuan/piece. However, downstream buyers showed low acceptance of the price level, given currently high silicon wafer production scheduling. Silicon wafer inventory hiked to 2.5 billion pieces. Silicon wafer prices are unlikely to move up.
