Li Auto recently unveiled the official teaser images of the Li L6 SUV via a post on its WeChat account.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Li Auto recently unveiled the official teaser images of the Li L6 SUV via a post on its WeChat account.

Last month, Li Auto's Senior Vice President, Zou Liangjun, revealed in an interview that the Li L6 will be the first Li Auto model priced below 300,000 yuan. The model is set to hit the market in April 2024. Li Auto aims to challenge a monthly sale volume of 30,000 Li L6s.

Previously, details about the Li L6 had been made public by the declaration information released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Positioned as a mid-sized five-seater SUV targeting intelligence and luxury for families, the Li L6 appears more refined in size compared to the Li L7, with dimensions of 4,925mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,735mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,920mm. Its exterior design retains the distinctive Li Auto family style.

In terms of configurations, information from the MIIT revealed that the Li L6 offers LiDAR as an add-on feature. This indicates that the Li L6 will likely offer Pro and Max versions like the other L-series models from Li Auto, and possibly introduce a lower-priced Air version.

Power-wise, the Li L6 is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine as a range extender, generating a maximum power of 113 kilowatts, with dual electric motors at the front and rear as the main power source. The battery suppliers remain CATL and Sunwoda, expected to be the same as the Air and Pro versions of Li Auto’s Li L8.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
