BYD secures nearly 20% share in Japan's imported battery electric vehicle market in Jan.

In January, BYD made a significant impact on Japan's imported battery electric vehicle market, capturing nearly 20% of the share. According to the latest data from the Japan Automobile Importers Association (JAIA), pure electric vehicle imports in Japan experienced an 11% year-on-year growth in January 2024, reaching a total of 1,186 units and maintaining a growth trend for the second consecutive month.

Notably, BYD achieved an outstanding six-fold increase in monthly sales in Japan compared to the previous year, securing the second position in Japan's imported battery electric vehicle market.

Z-ONE Tech, Shanghai Jiao Tong University inaugurate joint R&D Center for intelligent connected vehicle technology

On February 8, IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. and Yazaki (China) Investment Corporation signed a letter of intent to establish a joint venture. Initially focusing on collaborative efforts in the high-voltage electric system core technology of the new energy vehicle industry, the partners plan to jointly conduct R&D, tapping into a united global sales network to seize a prominent position in the global market for high-voltage electric systems.
