EHang forms partnership with GAC Group, Guangzhou authorities to propel UAM

Chinese urban air mobility (UAM) technology firm EHang announced a strategic collaboration with GAC Group, Guangzhou authorities to propel UAM.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese urban air mobility (UAM) technology firm EHang announced a strategic collaboration with the Management Committee of Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone, the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development District ("Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee"), and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. ("GAC Group").

The parties aim to leverage their respective strengths and shared resources to cultivate a robust ecosystem for low-altitude industries, advancing Guangzhou city's development in the  low-altitude sector and supporting the city's high-quality economic development in the low-altitude realm.

According to the agreement, GAC Group and EHang will join forces in the R&D, production, and sales within the low-altitude market. GAC Group will utilize its rich practical experience and well-established industrial chain layout in the field of intelligent manufacturing to support EHang's production and promotion of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Meanwhile, EHang will leverage its technical R&D capabilities and product integration advantages in unmanned passenger-carrying aerial vehicles to aid in the advancement of GAC Group's flying car project. 

Together, they will expedite the deployment of low-altitude industries in Guangzhou, injecting robust momentum into the rapid development of low-altitude industries in the city.

EHang's Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Hu Huazhi, remarked, "With the close collaboration of all parties, the production, sales, and commercial operation of EHang's EH216-S unmanned passenger-carrying aerial vehicle will break new ground in Guangzhou, injecting strong impetus into the development of low-altitude industries and empowering further leaps in China's low-altitude economy."
