Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Honda Motor reported this week a retail sales volume of 100,960 vehicles for its China market for the month of Jan. 2024, which surged 57.3% year on year, but plunged 39.1% month on month.
Breaking down the sales figures by specific joint ventures, GAC Honda sold 54,081 vehicles by retail last month, representing a 34.2% year-on-year jump, while Dongfeng Honda saw its monthly retail sales zoom up 96.1% from a year earlier to 46,879 units.
Regarding the sales of hotter-selling models, GAC Honda's ACCORD model recorded a sales volume of over 15,000 units in Jan., while both the BREEZE and the INTEGRA saw their monthly sales exceed 10,000 units. Dongfeng Honda sold over 15,000 CR-Vs in the same month, and its CIVIC model had a retail sale volume surpassing 10,000 units.
For the year of 2023, the Japanese automaker retailed 1,234,181 vehicles in the world's largest auto market , representing a 10.1% year-on-year drop.
