Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chery's EXEED brand recently announced that the hybrid electric Yaoguang C-DM model is set to begin presales on February 21, with the official market launch slated within the first quarter of this year.

Positioned as a midsize SUV, the Yaoguang C-DM boasts dimensions of 4,781mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,671mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815mm. Equipped with a hybrid electric system comprising a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, the model achieves a battery-powered range of 165km and a combined range exceeding 1,400km.

In terms of design, the Yaoguang C-DM inherits the overall aesthetic of its gasoline counterpart, namely the EXEED Yaoguang. The vehicle features a borderless grille, distinct from the previous EXEED family design, showcasing a new stylistic direction.

The interior of the Yaoguang C-DM maintains the design language of the gasoline-powered version, featuring a dual-screen layout on the center console. The flat-bottomed steering wheel incorporates touch-sensitive buttons.

Notably, the new model adopts the latest EEA4.0 electronic and electrical architecture, equipped with gigabit Ethernet, software-hardware separation, and full-vehicle OTA (Over-the-Air) update functionality.

The Yaoguang C-DM is installed with the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI efficient hybrid engine, employing Miller cycle technology, delivers 115kW of power, 220N·m of torque, and a maximum combustion efficiency of 44.5%. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant will be paired with a 3-speed DHT transmission, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration in just 4.26 seconds.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
