Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile" or "the Company") announced on Feb. 1 that the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively called "the Group") sold a total of 213,487 vehicles in the first month of 2024, hitting a historic high level and representing a remarkable year-on-year surge of around 110%. 

Of the vehicles the Group sold last month, 65,826 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), marking a robust spike of 591% year-over-year. Breaking down the figures by powertrain solutions, the battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales soared 306% from a year ago to 36,317 units in Jan., while the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) unit boasted a tremendous 4,919% year-on-year hike with 29,509 vehicles sold. 

The Group said it exported 26,262 vehicles in Jan., which leapt 79% compared to the same span in 2023. 

Regarding the performances of specific brands, there were 172,774 vehicles the Group sold last month under the Geely brand, indicating a 98% surge over a year earlier. Of them, 19,223 units were from the Galaxy NEV range. 

ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle brand of Geely Auto, recorded a sales volume of 12,537 units in Jan., displaying a 302% year-on-year spike.

In addition, Lynk & Co saw its Jan. sales shoot up 155% from the year-ago period to 28,176 units.
