On January 31, a convoy of trucks carrying nearly 300 tons of lithium concentrate departed from the Kamativi mine in Zimbabwe to the Beira Port, with the first batch totaling 5,000 tons expected to arrive in the country soon. The first phase of the project at this mine is using open-pit mining and has transformed the beneficiation plant at the original site, with an annual processing capacity of 300,000 tons of ore. The scale of the second phase of production has increased to an annual processing capacity of 2 million tons of ore. If everything goes smoothly, the second phase of the project is expected to be completed in June of this year. Previously, it was reported that this overseas mining project was officially incorporated under Yahua Group in December 2022, becoming the group's first overseas lithium resource project, with a total planned investment of 1.8 billion RMB.
