Chongqing University, Baowu Magnesium Industry, and Chongqing Merisun have jointly established the "China Magnesium-Aluminum Alloy Super Large Castings R&D Center." The three parties integrate their advantages and share resources, committed to achieving a win-win model where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The research and development center will engage in collaborative research, tackle difficult problems, share results, and jointly develop advanced processing and preparation techniques for new magnesium-aluminum alloy materials and super large castings. This will solve practical production process problems, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements at the national magnesium center, and strive to build a world-class magnesium-aluminum alloy super large casting product platform.

Director Jiang Bin introduced that after the establishment of the research and development center, efforts will be strengthened in the development of super large magnesium-aluminum alloy materials and components, to promote large-scale production and application. In the future, more main manufacturers will join the platform, jointly promoting Chongqing to become a world-class intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry cluster, gathering wisdom and strength for industrial development.
