China Petroleum Tarim Oilfield's 600MW Photovoltaic Project in Kashgar County Connected to the Grid
According to reports, on January 26th, China Petroleum Tarim Oilfield's 600,000-kilowatt photovoltaic project in Kashgar County, Xinjiang, was successfully connected to the grid for the first time. This project is a key project for the development of China Petroleum's new energy business and an important part of the layout of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's "construction of a 10-million-kilowatt level clean energy base in southern Xinjiang". The project started construction in May 2023 and is the largest single photovoltaic project in China Petroleum. The newly constructed 220kV step-up substation is the highest voltage and largest transmission capacity among the more than 40 substations built in the Tarim Oilfield. The project also includes the construction of a 150MW/600MWh large-scale electrochemical energy storage station, which is at the forefront of energy storage scale in China.
