SMM1, 25th: According to Chinese customs data, the total export volume of lithium hexafluorophosphate from China in December was 1400 tons, an increase of 23.2% month on month and a decrease of 0.9% year-on-year. The total export amount was 18756034 US dollars, an increase of 19.1% month on month and a decrease of 37% year-on-year.

China is the main exporter of lithium hexafluorophosphate, and due to weak terminal demand in recent months, global production and export of lithium hexafluorophosphate have significantly declined in the fourth quarter, with exports of lithium hexafluorophosphate declining by about 8% year-on-year. However, due to the limited layout of electrolyte production capacity overseas and the limited planning of hexafluorophosphate production capacity, it is expected that the export volume of lithium hexafluorophosphate will further increase in the future.

Meanwhile, in terms of price, the average overseas export price of lithium hexafluorophosphate in December 2023 was 13389 US dollars/ton, a decrease of 3.3% month on month and 36.4% year-on-year. The export price of lithium hexafluorophosphate in 2023 will decrease as the price of raw material lithium carbonate decreases.
