Gecko Motors completes Pre-A funding round for new energy commercial vehicle R&D

Gecko Motors, a Chinese company with advanced digital chassis as the core, recently announced the completion of a Pre-A round financing, which bagged for the company hundreds of millions of yuan.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Shenzhen GECKO New Energy Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. ("Gecko Motors"), a Chinese company with advanced digital chassis as the core, recently announced the completion of a Pre-A round financing, which bagged for the company hundreds of millions of yuan.

The proceeds secured from the new round will be poured into the company's R&D of new energy commercial vehicles, said Gecko Motors.

Based on modular, digital and ecological strategic platform technologies, Gecko Motors aims to provide forward-developed chassis and commercial vehicle products to global automotive OEMs and operators.

Founded with a solution featuring a fully control-by-wire skateboard chassis, Gecko Motors has garnered investments and support from industry players such as CATL, IAT Automotive Technology, DST, and J&T Express in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

Deeply rooted in the field of new energy commercial vehicles, with a focus on various evolving scenarios in logistics, Gecko Motors adheres to a market-centric philosophy, combining technological innovation with the advantages of the new energy industry chain, said the company. Through breakthrough innovations such as body decoupling and hardware and software decoupling, Gecko Motors has constructed intelligent commercial vehicles that are cost-effective, scene-adaptive, and market-compatible for global customers.

Current customers receiving Gecko Motors' new energy commercial vehicles include DST, Huolala, China Post, and SF Express.

Gecko Motors also said it is in the process of developing a versatile advanced digital chassis suitable for various scenarios and a new energy commercial vehicle model equipped with a skateboard chassis, scheduled for mass production and delivery in 2024.
