Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese in-car navigation engine developer Mxnavi has officially launched a comprehensive crowdsourced map solution based on Horizon's Journey 5 and Leadgentech's control system.

Following extensive evaluations across multiple cities and driving scenarios, the highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) function of the solution has reached near-production status, marking another crucial milestone for the collaborative solution.

Horizon Robotics, a leading provider of efficient intelligent driving computing solutions, offers the Journey® series products that support advanced navigation-assisted driving perception solutions for both highways and urban areas. Leadgentech focuses on core software algorithms for high-level autonomous driving, with industry-leading decision-making and control system development. Leveraging over a decade of expertise in automotive software, location services, and map data-related technologies, Mxnavi provides crowdsourced mapping, positioning, and environmental reconstruction capabilities.

Distinguished from traditional HD maps, Mxnavi's crowdsourced map addresses challenges such as delayed high-precision data updates, slow city deployment, and high costs. The production system ensures closed-loop data processing, automating the generation of map data tailored to the needs of intelligent driving.

The NOA solution, based on the crowdsourced map, integrates the strengths of each party's technology through specialized algorithm modules SDK, providing a customizable solution for automakers. With a pure vision approach, it significantly reduces procurement costs for automakers while addressing industry pain points related to data freshness, map integration, and human-vehicle collaboration. The collaboration aims to continually refine cost-effective and superior products, contributing to the advancement of intelligent driving.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
