Beijing (Gasgoo)- Beijing Jingwei Hirain Technologies Co., Inc. (HiRain), a provider of intelligent driving system solutions in China, on January 22 announced its plans to commence the domestic mass production of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) based on the Mobileye EyeQ™6 Lite chip in the second quarter of 2024.

The EyeQ™6 Lite, the latest addition to Mobileye's integrated chip products, aims to redefine the performance and efficiency of both basic and advanced ADAS products.

Equipped with Mobileye's advanced vision-based perception technology, the EyeQ™6 Lite excels in real-time detection and environmental analysis. Its sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms process perception information, enabling precise decision-making in diverse driving conditions. Additionally, the EyeQ™6 Lite supports cloud-enhanced ADAS features, providing a comprehensive solution to meet the varied needs of both Chinese and international markets.

Collaborating with HiRain, the EyeQ™6 Lite has been optimized for different vehicle types. Its compact design and low power consumption make it seamlessly integrate into current vehicle platforms, positioning it as a crucial component in smart transportation.

Dr. Fan Chengjian, Deputy General Manager of Hirain, stated, "Our collaboration with Mobileye dates back to 2012, and the upcoming ADAS system based on the EyeQ™6 Lite chip represents HiRain's seventh-generation product release. With outstanding performance, it delivers multiple L2+ driving assistance functions, meeting the 5-star safety standards of ENCAP2023. It provides our automotive manufacturing clients with a safe, reliable, and cost-effective solution."

Since 2007, the global cumulative delivery of the EyeQ™ chips has exceeded 170 million units, laying the foundation for the creation of the EyeQ™6 series. Mobileye, leveraging the EyeQ™ series chips, has supplied critical safety features like automatic emergency braking to dozens of global automakers.
