Beijing (Gasgoo)- Newrizon, a startup player in the Chinese new energy commercial vehicle sector, recently shipped its first batch of intelligent connected electric light trucks, the iC1, to the Middle East.

This move signifies Newrizon's entry into the international market and marks it as the first Chinese intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicle brand to export to the Middle East.

Established in September 2020 by former NIO senior vice president Huang Chendong, Newrizon has the EC1 and iC1 models on the market. The EC1 has achieved over a thousand units in sales in the first year since market release, according to the company. In 2023, NIO Capital had invested in the company’s B+ financing round.

The iC1, Newrizon's first independently developed intelligent connected electric light truck, boasts cutting-edge design concepts, featuring a low drag coefficient. Equipped with advanced features such as FOTA upgrades, autonomous driving compatibility, intelligent vehicle management, dynamic load estimation, keyless entry, remote control through a dedicated app, and supporting battery swapping.

Venturing into the Middle East marks Newrizon's inaugural step in its global strategy. Newrizon aims to expand its global footprint, establish comprehensive sales and operation systems, and accelerate its presence in international markets.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
