KORE Power releases 'Made in the USA' energy storage system with LFP and NMC batteries
KORE Power, the US-based lithium-ion battery and energy storage system (BESS) manufacturer, has introduced two new DC Block products. The company announced last week that it will provide scalable DC Block solutions for both lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) BESS projects. The capacity of the LFP system is 750kWh, while the NMC system has a capacity of 1.3MWh. These devices are manufactured in the US, so it is expected that both manufacturers and customers will benefit from incentives for domestically produced clean energy equipment under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IRA). They will be equipped with batteries manufactured by KORE Power, which is currently building a factory in Arizona and plans to open later this year with an annual capacity of 6GWh.
