China’s Lithium Carbonate Imports Projected To Drop Further To 10,000 Mt in January 2024 Due To Slump In Chilean Exports

In terms of imports, according to data from the Chilean Customs, Chile's November lithium carbonate exports to China were 13,592 mt, down 19.05% MoM.

In terms of imports, according to data from the Chilean Customs, Chile's November lithium carbonate exports to China were 13,592 mt, down 19.05% MoM. Over 80% of China's monthly imports come from Chile. Considering shipping cycles, China's December imports are expected to be around 14,500 mt. Chile's exports to China in December fell 36.17% MoM to 8,676 mt, thus China’s January imports are projected to drop to about 10,000 mt.
