SMM Daily Report: Lithium Carbonate Prices Stabilize on January 15th
SMM, January 15th— The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index is 95,139 yuan/ton, a decrease of 18 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day. The average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate is 92,400-100,000 yuan/ton, with an average of 96,200 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous working day. The average price of industrial-grade lithium carbonate is 85,200-90,000 yuan/ton, with an average of 87,600 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous working day. Today, lithium salt companies continue to hold firm on prices and have no pressure to ship in the short term. However, cathode material companies still have a low acceptance of high prices, and the overall market transactions remain flat. Trading companies adjust their prices with the market, offering a discount of 500 yuan/ton to flat on the February contract, and flat to a premium of 500 yuan/ton on the March contract. However, the actual market demand remains sluggish, with few transactions. Overall, the spot prices of lithium carbonate in the market remain stable.
