China's Automobile Production And Sales Topped 30 Million Units For The First Time In 2023, Setting A Record High

Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers today shows that in 2023, China's automobile production and sales exceeded 30 million units for the first time, setting a record high. Among them, 4.91 million units were exported, likely making China the world's number one automobile exporter.

In 2023, China's automobile production and sales were 30.161 million units and 30.094 million units respectively, a year-on-year increase of 11.6% and 12% respectively, of which 4.91 million vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 58%. In 2022, China became the world's second largest automobile exporter.
