Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 9, Hesai Technology officially launched the groundbreaking AT512 LiDAR product, a "performance powerhouse" tailored for mass-produced vehicles equipped with intelligent driving systems.

Equipped with Hesai's latest self-developed fourth-generation chip, the AT512 incorporates cutting-edge technologies like 3D stacking and optical noise suppression. This breakthrough allows for a comprehensive performance upgrade within the same form factor, pushing the parameters to their limits.

The AT512 achieves a standard detection range of 300 meters (@10% reflectivity), a 50% increase compared to Hesai’s AT128 LiDAR unit. With an impressive maximum range of 400 meters, it doubles the distance capability of similar LiDARs in the market, said Hesai. Its enhanced ability to discern vehicles and pedestrians within this extensive range significantly boosts environmental perception for vehicles. This extended range grants vehicles twice the time to detect targets, providing over a 40% increase in reaction time for system safety decisions, ensuring heightened intelligent driving safety.

Benefiting from the fourth-generation chip's heightened integration, the AT512 operates at an exceptional point cloud density, delivering over 100 million points processed per second—an unprecedented level of performance in the LiDAR industry.

With its superior integration capabilities, the AT512 offers vehicles a level of imaging-grade, ultra-clear 3D perception at a rate of approximately 12.3 million points per second, featuring a globally uniform 0.05° x 0.05° angular resolution—eight times denser than the AT128 and over ten times higher than similar long-range products in the market. This technological marvel sets a new benchmark in LiDAR perception for intelligent driving systems.
