AIKON Technology announced on December 30, 2023 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhejiang AIKON Future Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhejiang AIKON Future"), signed a "HJT Perovskite Tandem Solar Cell R&D and Production Base Project Framework Agreement" with the Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone Management Committee. Zhejiang AIKON Future plans to invest approximately 1 billion yuan to construct the HJT perovskite tandem solar cell research and production base project in the Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone.

According to the announcement, the project will be implemented in three phases. The first phase laboratory project plans to invest approximately 150 million yuan and lease a space of approximately 3,000 square meters to build the HJT perovskite tandem solar cell production R&D laboratory base, in order to meet AIKON Technology's production and R&D needs for HJT perovskite tandem solar cells. The second phase pilot line project plans to invest approximately 250 million yuan, and the third phase first mass production line project plans to invest approximately 600 million yuan.
