Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 28, the Hyper Super EV Charging and Battery Swapping Center by GAC Energy, a subsidiary of GAC Group, officially opened its doors at Jiangbeizui in Chongqing city, according to a press release from GAC Energy.
The completion of this facility signifies the full-scale initiation of GAC Energy's "High-Quality Charging Action" in the 2.0 era of the energy replenishment system. This move is a profound embodiment of GAC Group's 2⁶ Energy Action, aiming to establish a new energy ecosystem with the flexibility of EV charging, battery swapping, purchasable, and salable electricity in a "1+N" scenario.
In tandem with this development, GAC Energy unveiled its 2024 "Ten Thousand Stations Plan." This strategic initiative, focused on urban and inter-city areas nationwide, is set to establish 1,000V high-voltage platform supercharging terminals, starting with a goal of 10,000 and no upper limit. The plan aims to surpass one million private charging station users by 2024, ensuring orderly charging, constructing an energy trading platform, and promoting the use of new energy for electric vehicles.
Building on the efforts of GAC Energy, GAC AION remains committed to “EV+ICV” two-pronged technological innovation. With the powerful entry of its premium Hyper brand, the electric supercar, the Hyper SSR, was delivered as scheduled. Models like the Hyper GT and HT have hit the market, earning high user recognition. It unveiled the "Fast, Broad, Nearby + V2G" dual-action plan at the Auto Shanghai 2023 on April 18, emphasizing the parallel development of private and public charging stations. This forms a comprehensive energy replenishment pattern of "Super Charging + Rapid Battery Swapping" with nationwide coverage through major cities and a network spanning highways.
In the realm of R&D, GAC Energy rapidly enhances the quality of energy replenishment services. Its in-house developed H640 liquid-cooled supercharging station boasts a single-pile output power of 640kW and a current of 800A, supporting ultra-fast 6C charging. This allows users to enjoy a 600+ km range in just 10 minutes of charging and a 2-minute rapid swapping experience.
Strategically cooperating with Southwest Securities Innovation Investment Co., Ltd., GAC Energy established the first comprehensive energy flagship station integrating "Charging, Battery Swapping, EnergyStorage, V2G + Diversified Services." This station not only offers supercharging, rapid swapping, and energy storage services, but also includes an exhibition hall, leisure spaces, and coffee facilities. Additionally, it facilitates V2G (vehicle-to-grid) bidirectional energy flow for vehicles, promoting exemplary V2G operations and successfully creating an integrated scenario of users, vehicles, energy, and lifestyle.
Aligning with GAC Group's internationalization strategy, an international energy strategy has been formulated, with GAC AION's factory in Thailand under construction.
