【Brazil will resume import tariffs on photovoltaic components effective January 1st!】On December 12, 2023, the Brazilian government announced the reinstatement of import tariffs on photovoltaic components and wind power generators, as well as the reintroduction of import duties on 324 related products. With the implementation of this measure, imported photovoltaic components in Brazil will once again be subject to the Common External Tariff (TEC) of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur). The measure will officially take effect on January 1, 2024, with an import tariff rate of 10.8% for photovoltaic components.
